Gideon Cain claims his third NACC weekly accolade of the year

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced Gideon Cain as its Student-Athlete of the Week for Men's Outdoor Track & Field on Wednesday.

A junior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Gideon Cain is claiming the honor for the third time this season and for the second time in the outdoor season.

Cain claimed a pair of titles at the Wisconsin Private School Championships on Thursday. Taking the crown in both the shot put (14.87 meters; 48-9 1/2) and discus throw (43.02 meters; 141-2). He currently tops the NACC performance list in both events, ranking 22nd in NCAA Division III in the shot put.

Cain and the Falcons will compete again on Saturday at Carroll.
