Men's Soccer Nipped on the Road

DE PERE, Wis. – The CUW men's soccer team traveled to the reigning Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) champions on Wednesday night for a mid-week contest. The Falcons fell short, 2-1, to improve to 4-2-3 on the year and 1-2-2 in the NACC.

Freshman Jeremy Munoz (Milwaukee, Wis.) posted five saves in the first half to send the teams into halftime tied at zero.

The Green Knights struck first with goals in the 54th and 63rd minutes.

Senior Nick Hummel (Green Bay, Wis.) found the back of the net when he put a rebound off his penalty kick in.

The Falcons threatened the rest of the match, but could not level the match.

The Green Knights held a 19-9 advantage in shots on Wednesday night.

Jeremy Munoz finished with seven saves against the Green and Gold.

The Falcons look to get back in the win column on Saturday at home against Rockford.
