Mequon, Wis
. -- Concordia University Wisconsin's Zach Lemler (junior, West Bend, Wis.) took matters into his own hands with unassisted quick strike goals at the 54 and 57 minute mark to provide the victory margin in a physical 2-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College at Fitting Field Saturday afternoon.

The hard-working visitors, just 5-9-0 overall, raced around defensively for the first 45 minutes, holding CUW to eight shots while maintaining a 0-0 stalemate at the break.

After Lemler found the back of the net twice in rapid succesion, head coach Tom Saleska and crew could breathe a bit, knowing their 7-0-1 mark would keep them in second place behind Dominican University after the 8-0-0 Stars squeaked past MSOE 2-1 in double overtime.

"Lemler has had consecutive top drawer matches," praised Saleska. "And Alvarado (Enrique) has done a terrific job going from being a field player to a goalie when we were in desperation mode. He stopped a PK (penalty kick) today when the match was still very much in doubt. Outstanding!" The falcons have allowed only ONE goal in their last eight matches.

Saleska's squad hosts Edgewood College next Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 3:30 p.m. in another NAC contest.
