Men’s Soccer Begins Four-Match Homestand with North Central

MEQUON, Wis. - Head coach Tom Saleska and the Concordia University Wisconsin men's soccer program begin a four-match homestand, their longest of the season, this Saturday at 1 p.m. against North Central College at Fitting Field.

The Falcons (5-4) have faced their ups-and-downs over the last four matches, all on the road. CUW pulled out a pair of Northern Athletics Conference victories over Concordia University Chicago and Rockford College, but dropped two non-league matches to North Park University and Carthage College.

As of Sept. 18, the Falcons ranked 41st in the nation (DIII) in total assists and 52nd in goals scored. Sophomore Alberto Valle (Milwaukee, Wis.) leads the team with seven goals and has a pair of multi-goal matches this season.

Junior Zach Lemler (West Bend, Wis.) leads 10 Falcons with four assists, while he and Valle have two game-winning goals apiece this season.

In goal, senior Enrique Alvarado (Elgin, Ill.) has taken over between the posts the last three matches, and recorded two wins and six saves.

CUW continues its homestand on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. against NAC foe Maranatha Baptist Bible College at Fitting Field.
