Weather postpones Men’s Soccer match at Marian
FOND DU LAC, Wis. -
Thunderstorms decided the men's soccer match between Concordia
University Wisconsin and Marian University would be better suited
for another night. Lightening halted the Northern Athletics
Conference contest in the 12th minute of the first half on Tuesday
night at Smith Fields.
The match was delayed for 25 minutes before both teams
we allowed to begin play, but for a short period of time. Twelve
minutes into the first half, an extended delay eventually postponed
any chance of the match being resumed.
David Reinke found the back of the net three minutes
into the match to give the Sabres a 1-0 lead before the second
weather delay ensued. However, NCAA rules state that all stats are
wiped clean and the game is started over when the rescheduled game
occurs.
A makeup date of Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. has
been announced for the NAC matchup between CUW and MU at Smith
Fields.
