FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The CUW field hockey team traveled to take on the Marian Sabres in an SAA conference matchup.
Newcomers to the SAA, the Sabres got the game rolling with a goal in the 29th minute.
The Blue and White matched the goal in the 42nd minute off the stick of senior Donna Pitock (Naperville, Ill.) with an assist from junior Sophia Vandeloecht (St. Louis, Mo.).
The Sabres responded with a trio of goals to take the 4-1 victory over the Falcons.
Senior Emily Binley (Suffolk, Va.) recorded six total saves.
Both Pitock and junior Abby McGue (St. Louis, Mo.) led the Falcons with three shots on goal.
The Blue and White travel to take on Allegheny on Sunday.
