Damaschke named WFCA Private College Player of the Year

MEQUON, Wis. – Austin Damaschke is going to need more space in his trophy case as the awards keep coming after his incredible record-setting season. Concordia University Wisconsin's gunslinger was named the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Private College Player of the Year for the second straight season.

The junior leader set multiple records during the 2013 season, led Concordia University Wisconsin to an undefeated Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference title, eight victories and a spot in the NCAA Division III playoffs.

This season he was named a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy (which is the equivalent of the Heisman Trophy for NCAA Division III), NACC Offensive Player of the Year, NACC Offensive Player of the Week three times and CUW team MVP.
