Scheuerlein named NACC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin linebacker Luke Scheuerlein was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletic communicators.
Scheuerlein (Thiensville, Wis.) tied for a team-high 10 tackles and sealed the game with an interception late in the fourth quarter as CUW defeated Benedictine University, 28-27, Saturday during Family Weekend. The sophomore's interception came with 20 seconds left on the clock, helping the Falcons (2-2) move to 1-0 in NACC play.
The conference accolade is the first of his career and the second of the season for the Falcons.
