Women's Soccer Won the NACC Tournament Again

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team claimed another title in 2022. The Falcons finished with a program-best record of 17-4-2 and went 9-2-1 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The 17 wins also tied the program record.

The Falcons started off the season unbeaten at 3-0-1 with a 1-1 tie at No. 3 Loras and a 1-0 victory at Denison.

The Blue and White also had a great start to the NACC season at 5-0-1.

CUW entered postseason play with four-straight victories but faced a tough road ahead in the NACC Tournament. CUW opened the NACC Tournament with a 6-0 victory over Edgewood. Concordia then avenged a regular-season loss against Dominican with a 3-1 road victory. The Falcons then shut out Illinois Tech with a 1-0 victory in the finals to claim the NACC Tournament crown.

The Falcons were honored for their success with the senior duo of Selena Esten and Karoline Haugland voted to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Region Second Team. Sophomore Carmen Rowe was voted to the USC All-Region Third Team. That trio also all earned All-NACC First Team honors, with Brooke Braga, Isabel Downs and Jordan Lafferty on the All-NACC Second Team.

CUW also soared in the classroom with Brooke Braga, Isabel Downs and Jordan Lafferty named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Isabel Downs and Jordan Lafferty were then voted to the CSC Academic All-American Second Team.

The Falcons look to soar again in 2024.
