Women's Soccer Sweeps NACC Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week Award on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons swept the honors with Isabel Downs and Carmen Rowe as voted on the athletic communications professionals within the conference.

The Falcons posted a perfect week in the NACC Tournament with a 3-1 victory at Dominican in the NACC Tournament Semifinals and a 1-0 victory at Illinois Tech in the NACC Tournament Finals.

A senior from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Isabel Downs is claiming the NACC Offensive Player of the Week honor for the first time this season and in her career.

At Dominican, she scored the final two goals in the match, including the game-winning goal.

She was also in on the scrum where the game-winning goal was scored at Illinois Tech.

A sophomore from Copley, Ohio, Carmen Rowe is also claiming the NACC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the first time.

Rowe helped keep two of the top offenses wrapped up in the NACC Tournament.

She helped keep Dominican to one goal and helped the Falcons pick up the 14th shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory at Illinois Tech.

The Falcons return to play on Friday at Wisconsin-La Crosse for the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament against Illinois Wesleyan.
