Women's Soccer Opens NCAA Play at La Crosse

MEQUON, Wis. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the field for the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament on Monday afternoon. The Falcons will travel to La Crosse, Wisconsin for the first two rounds of the tournament to take on Illinois Wesleyan in the first round.

The Falcons earned the automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament with a 1-0 victory over Illinois Tech in the NACC Tournament Finals on Sunday afternoon.

This is the third NCAA Tournament appearance for the Falcons. CUW also made appearances in 2004 and 2019.

The Titans won the only meeting between the two schools with a 4-3 overtime victory in 2021 in Illinois.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the NCAA Tournament with a 10-4-3 record and won the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament with victories over Carroll and North Central

Wisconsin-La Crosse hosts Greenville in the other matchup.

The time of the match will be determined later in the week.
