Falcons Rock the Regents

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's soccer team took care of business on Saturday afternoon with a 7-0 result over the Regents of Rockford. The victory sends CUW to 8-1-2 on the year and 5-0-1 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).

The Falcons started the scoring in the ninth minute off the boot of sophomore Isabella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.) and an assist to Senior Isabel Downs (Menomonee Falls, Wis.).

In the 23rd minute, senior Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) found the back of the net. She struck again six minutes later for her second goal of the afternoon.

Senior Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) closed the first half scoring with an unassisted goal.

Isabel Downs started the second-half scoring in the 65th minute off an assist from Rapp.

Isabella Rapp added her second goal of the game a minute later.

The scoring ended with a goal from Selena Esten in the 68th minute off an assist from Karoline Haugland.

It was a quiet day in the office for Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) as she recorded her lone save of the game in the 83rd minute.

Saturday was the seventh shutout of the season for Braga.

CUW held a 36-2 advantage in shots on Saturday. Karoline Haugland and Selena Esten both had seven shots in the victory.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday night at MSOE in a battle of two of the NACC's best.
