STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The CUW women's basketball team finished its run in the UWSP Classis on Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons led the Pointers going into the half with a score of 29-22. The Falcons held this lead going into the fourth quarter going into the break up 46-38. The Pointers didn't go down easy.
The Pointers held the Falcon offense to just nine points in the fourth quarter while they in turn scored 27 to take the game 65-55.
The Falcon effort was led by senior Aubrey Bucholtz (Seymour, Wis.) with 15 points off the bench and six rebounds.
The duo of sophomore Diedre Lassiter (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and junior Lindsey Smitsdorff (Coon Rapids, Minn.) combined for 15 of the Falcon 34 rebounds and 16 of the Falcon 55 points.
Junior Reagan Obry (Neenah, Wis.) led the Falcons with three assists. She also added six points and three rebounds to her total.
The Falcons come home on Wednesday as they take on North Central in their home opener.
