Men's Hockey drops NCHA road tilt at Marian

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – A Gianni Mangone hat trick, paired with continuing offensive struggles, played key roles in the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Hockey 4-1 setback at Marian University Friday night. The loss dropped the Falcons to 0-2-1 in 2016 after starting the season 8-3-1 in the 2015 portion of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Marian would tie the game just 1:14 later when Scott Meyer scored unassisted. The final two Marian scores came in the second period as Mangone netted a power play goal 7:55 into the second, while finishing off the hat trick with a goal with 1:51 left in the stanza.

- Freshman Jack Romanuik (Melfort, Saskatchewan) saw his record drop to 4-2-1 on Friday as he made 27 saves in defeat. The Falcons were outshot 31-18, including 25-9 over the first two periods.
