Men's Track and Field Sweeps NACC Athletes of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week awards on Tuesday morning.
The distance medley relay team of senior Timmy Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.), freshman Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.), senior Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.), and freshman Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) were voted as the Student-Athlete(s) of the Week for Men's Track by the athletic communications professionals within the conference.
This is the first time the team has been awarded this honor, with their second-place finish of 12:16.58 at Firebird First Invitational. Their time ranks 22nd in NACC Division III.
Freshman Zach Wendland was also voted as the Field Student-Athlete for the Men's Track and Field by conference athletic communications professionals.
The freshman from Green Bay, Wisconsin, is claiming the honor for the first time with a first-place finish in the high jump at the height of 1.85 meters. His performance is tied for second place in the NACC.
The Falcons return to action on Saturday, January 20, at Wisconsin – Parkside.
