Falcons Falter in NACC Semifinals

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's tennis team fell short in the NACC Tournament Semifinals on Thursday. The Scarlet Hawks advanced with the 5-2 victory.

The Falcons' lone doubles point came at court three, where the team of sophomore Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) and senior Elizabeth Johnson (Hubertus, Wis.) won, 8-6.

The team of freshman Cheyanne Phillips (Morris, Ill.) and senior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) fell in a tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles.

Mallory Moen picked up a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles.

Cheyanne Phillips led on court three after taking the first set 6-3.

Elizabeth Johnson was in charge at No. 6 singles in the third set at 3-2.  

The Falcons finish the season at 10-14.
