HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The CUW women's tennis team finished spring break play on Thursday against Nichols and Millikin. The Falcons fell to Nichols 5-4 and Millikin 7-2.
The birds picked up two doubles points against Nichols.
Senior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and freshman Cheyanne Phillips (Morris, Ill.) won at No. 2 doubles at 8-2.
Sophomore Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) and senior Elizabeth Johnson (Hubertus, Wis.) picked up an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.
The Falcons fell in a tiebreaker on court one in doubles.
Senior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) bounced Antonia Carrero at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Mallory Moen moved past Jordan Knowles at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-7 (2), 10-4.
The Bison bounced CUW in tiebreakers on courts five and six.
The duo of Andrae and Phillips picked up the lone doubles point for Concordia on court two with an 8-3 victory.
Elizabeth Johnson won by forfeit at No. 6 singles.
The Big Blue won three third-set tiebreakers to earn the victory.
The Falcons close the month on March 26 at North Central.
