Women's Tennis competes at USTA/ITA Midwest Regional, Gustie Fall Invite

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Concordia University Wisconsin competed in the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional and the Gustie Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College, on Friday and Saturday in singles and doubles tournaments.

Freshman Sabine Jacobsen (Palatine, Ill.) was the lone Falcon to earn a victory at the two tournaments when she defeated Briannah Wilson (Grinnell College) in the first round 1-6, 6-3, 10-6 of the Gustie Fall Invite.

In all, CUW sent eight players to the difficult tournament that featured nationally ranked players and teams.

CUW returns to the court for the final stretch of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matches starting on Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. contest at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
