Wrestling hosted World Champion J'Den Cox for local camp

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin recently hosted J'Den Cox, the reigning two-time World Freestyle Wrestling Champion, during a camp for local youth on November 3. The camp featured over 200 local wrestlers each to learn from the champion.

Cox won three NCAA titles for the University of Missouri and took bronze in the 2016 Olympics. He then went on to win the last two World Championships.

"It is not often we have the opportunity to have a world champion and a person of this caliber on our campus," commented head coach Kevin Koch. "The local wrestling community turnout was fantastic. He is a tremendous clinician and a great person. We wish him well as he attempts to win a third-straight World title, which in 2020 would be Olympic Gold."
