Five Falcons Place at Upper Midwest Regional

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin wrestling team participated in the two-day Upper Midwest Regional tournament, wrapping up the event with placement matches on Saturday.

Freshman Cole Ramos (Kenosha, Wis.) finished in eighth place out of the field at 149 pounds, winning two of his first three matches on Friday.

Senior Carson Cook (Las Vegas, Nev.) placed sixth in the bracket, winning bouts by fall, decision, and major decision before falling in the fifth-place match at 157 pounds.

Junior Jeremy Pullen (Joliet, Ill.) was the team's highest finisher of the event, taking fifth place at 165 pounds. His first two victories came via technical fall before finishing as the winner in his final two matches by injury default and forfeit.

Senior Jonathan Pullen (Joliet, Ill.) finished in sixth place for Concordia at 165 pounds, winning two matches by decision and a third by technical fall. He totaled 10.5 team points for the Falcons across his performances.

Senior Peyton Smith (Milwaukee, Wis.) secured a sixth-place finish in his bracket at 197 pounds, notching two falls and a major decision to tally 14 team points for Concordia.

With 65.5 team points across the tournament, the Falcons placed eighth overall out of 19 teams.

The Falcons finished the 2023-24 with a strong finish.
