Padilla places 7th at Pete Willson Invitational

WHEATON, Ill. -- Marco Padilla ended the Pete Willson Invitational on Saturday in seventh place in the 125-pound bracket. The sophomore ended the tournament with a 3-2 record.

Padilla (Elmwood Park, Ill.) lost his first match on Saturday by a 10-7 decision before receiving a victory by medical forfeit to take seventh place. It is his fifth placement in a tournament this season. On Friday he earned a 19-1 technical fall victory over Anthony Eberle (Trine) and a 16-4 major decision against Camden Spears (Ohio Northern).

Freshman Quinn Hoopman (Cedar Grove, Wis.) picked up a win by fall in 1:56 at 149 pounds, while freshman Charles Hindley (Tucson, Ariz.) had a win by fall in 1:34 at 184 pounds on Friday.

The Falcons return to the mat on Wednesday for a 7 pm CCIW dual at MSOE.
