Wrestling drops pair of duals

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Concordia Wisconsin dropped its first duals of the season on Saturday, with a 30-17 loss to Cornell and a 32-15 defeat against Dubuque inside McCormick Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin brought an undefeated 4-0 record in duals to Saturday's contests, but were unable to add to the unblemished record. The Falcons record fell to 4-2 with four more duals on the schedule this season.
- Sophomore Marco Padilla (Elmwood Park, Ill.), sophomore Val Kochiu (Oak Creek, Wis.), freshman Josh Te Stroete (Cedar Grove, Wis.) and senior Isiah Shultz (Lake Station, Ind.) were the only Falcons to earn victories, as all each wrestler went 2-0 on the day.
- Padilla earned a win by forfeit against Cornell and defeated Aaron Black (Dubuque) by a 10-6 score.
- Kochiu picked up an 8-2 decision victory over Jake Wulf (Cornell) and pinned Dakota Unpingco (Dubuque) in one minute and 24 seconds.
- Te Stroete had a 17-2 technical fall win over Nic Jarvis (Cornell), O'Donnell won by fall in 1:17 over Alec Dufour (Dubuque) and Shultz recorded a 6-1 decision win over Alex Heisdorffer (Cornell).
