Falcon women shut out St. Scholastica skaters 3-0
Duluth, MN
Samantha Meuwissen scored a first period goal for the third
consecutive game but this time that lamp lighter was all the
Falcons needed as they shut out host St. Scholastica 3-0 this
afternoon.
Alyssa Isaackson and April Forar added third period tallies as
Concordia improved to 2-2-0 in conference action while dropping
their hosts to 0-4-1 in league play.
"We played two of the best teams in the nation in back-back
series," said head coach Jim Ingman. "My hope was that playing
that level of competition out of the gate would help us in league
play. Tonight we were in control from the outset...very good
hockey."
CUW goalkeeper Lea Jondal stopped 19 shots to record the shutout
win.
