CUW completes sweep of Finlandia 8-1

Concordia (8-7-1) scored four times before the game was eleven
minutes old on the way to an 8-1 rout of overmatched Finlandia
Saturday afternoon at the Ozaukee Ice Center.
Jaime Athens (twice); Sarah Luberda; and Alisha Java all knocked in
tallies as fans were still getting settled in their seats.
Sarah Hubacher, Jenny Brown, Laura DeDecker, and Alyssa Isaackson
added goals before the afternoon's festivities had concluded.
For DeDecker, a defender who has played in 88 CUW games, the
goal was her first as a Falcon.
CUW outshot the visitors 40-10 as Coach Jim Ingman was able to give
everyone significant playing time.
Finlandia remained winless on the season after this weekend's
sweep.
Falcons who got assist points on this day included Luberda (2);
Carly Pilas, Marie Melton, Samantha Meuwissen, Steph Boehm, Amber
Cmejla, and Isaackson.
