Softball Duo Claims NFCA All-Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its NCAA Division III All-Region Teams on Friday afternoon. The Concordia Wisconsin softball team landed two honorees. Jess Pozezinski was named to the All-Region VIII First Team and Megan Bloyer was voted to the second team.

A junior shortstop from Lake Villa, Illinois, Jess Pozezinski is claiming her third NFCA regional honor. She claimed third-team honors the past two seasons.

Pozezinski led Concordia with a .480 batting average on the season and had 61 hits, 42 runs batted in to go along with her 15 home runs, 45 runs and 12 doubles. She had a five-hit performance against Wisconsin-La Crosse and four-hit performances against Alverno and Concordia Chicago.

Megan Bloyer

A junior first baseman from Oregon, Wisconsin, Megan Bloyer is securing her first honor from the NFCA.

Bloyer finished the year with 49 hits, 42 runs batted in, 16 runs, 13 doubles and two home runs. She finished the 2024 campaign with a .430 batting average. She was a perfect four-for-four at the plate against Mary Hardin-Baylor.

In total, 376 student-athletes from 167 schools were named to the 2024 NFCA Division III All-Region teams.
