Men's Volleyball Preview: Falcons at Aurora in NACC Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's men's volleyball program will travel to Aurora for the opening round of the NACC Tournament on Tuesday night for a 7 pm. The Falcons earned the sixth seed in the postseason tournament via its 3-0 victory last Friday against Illinois Tech.

The Falcons continue to build on success this season, posting a 9-14 overall record and a 5-11 record in NACC play. They won back-to-back matches twice and were 6-6 at home.

Freshman James Althoff (Kenosha, Wis.) was the Falcons offensive leader, earning Sports Import/AVCA and NACC Player of the Week honors on February 12. He had a team-high 227 kills and 160 digs, while also hitting .221 at the net. Defensively, sophomore Blake Schwandt (Kenosha, Wis.) ranked seventh in the NACC with 72 total blocks.

Aurora had a 12-13 overall record this season and a 9-7 record in the NACC to earn the third see. They defeated Concordia Wisconsin twice this season in 3-0 decisions. The Spartans have five players with 100 or more kills and six with 100 or more digs.
