Men’s Volleyball closes regular season, preps for NACC Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin and Aurora both had a victory in their sights, but also understood rest was important before the opening round of the NACC Tournament on Tuesday. The Falcons and Spartans had already clinched a spot and will face each no matter Saturday's outcome, and it was Aurora who earned the 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-23) victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin played a deep lineup, with 11 players seeing action during the regular season finale. They were led by sophomore Sam Rovik (Silver Lake, Wis.) who smashed 11 kills, while Connor Muff (Kenosha, Wis.) directed the offense with 26 assists.
- The Falcons was most efficient in the second set, with a 1.82 hitting percentage, but scored their most points (23) in the final set.
- The first set was the closest with 10 scoring ties and four lead changes.
- Sophomore Blake Schwandt (Kenosha, Wis.) had a team-high four blocks.
- Justin Elliot led all players with 14 kills, while Tim Breiter and Jack Fischer each had 10 for Aurora. James Karwin and Justin Yost combined for 35 assists.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin, as the sixth seed, will travel to third-seeded Aurora for the opening round of the NACC Tournament on Tuesday at 7 pm.
