Men’s Volleyball suffers five-set defeat against St. John Fisher

HIRAM, Ohio – Concordia Wisconsin went back-and-forth with St. John Fisher, but an early run by the Cardinals in the fifth set was the difference during a 3-2 decision (25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 8-15) in a non-conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With both teams owning two sets, Hiram jumped out to a commanding 11-4 lead to push all the momentum in their favor.
- Concordia Wisconsin played well offensively, hitting .150 during the match and hit an outstanding .414 during the third set. Freshman James Althoff (Kenosha, Wis.) had a double-double with 17 kills and 17 digs, to go along with three service aces.
- Sophomore Sam Rovik (Silver Lake, Wis.) had 13 kills and nine digs, while freshman Connor Muff (Kenosha, Wis.) dished out 37 assists.
- Freshman Turner Fuhrer dug 16 attack attempts and sophomore Isaac Glynn (Byron, Minn.) had three service aces.
- Josh Bigford led all players with 21 kills, to go along with six digs and three block assists. Andres Ramirez and Matt Broderick each had 10 kills. David Cerqua led Hiram with 16 digs.
