Men’s Volleyball drops NACC contest at Lakeland

PLYMOUTH, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin needed a late rally in each set, but couldn't find a way to string together a run of points during a 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-22) loss at Lakeland on Wednesday night during NACC play.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons trailed by three points or less in the final moments of each set against the Muskies, but were unable to find a spark to put together a quick scoring run and earn a set victory.
- Concordia Wisconsin hit .250 in the opening set and .200 in the third, while finishing with a .167 hitting percentage as a team. Lakeland ended with a .227 hitting percentage.
- Sophomore Sam Rovik (Silver Lake, Wis.) had a match-high-tying 11 kills, to go along with six digs and two blocks. Freshman James Althoff (Kenosha, Wis.) posted nine kills, 14 digs and two blocks.
- Freshman Connor Muff (Kenosha, Wis.) had 26 assists, while freshman Turner Fuhrer (Kenosha, Wis.) recorded 10 digs. Freshman Cody Sciabica (Henderson, Nev.) had three blocks.
- Dakota Hunter led the Muskies with 11 digs, while Nathan Vanderwaal and Desmond Williams each had 10 kills. Cameron Ekum had 31 assists and J.T. Levitt dug 13 attack attempts.

MATCH NOTES
- The Falcons had five players with at least two block assists, which was the fifth time this season that has happened. It was also the third match in a row they recorded double-digit block assists.
