
Landon Sather Named CSC Academic All-American
MEQUON, Wis. – Landon Sather secured a prestigious honor on Wednesday morning. Sather was voted to the 2023-24 CSC Men's Tennis Academic All-American Third Team, announced by the College Sports Communicators on Wednesday morning.
Sather stated, "It's very rewarding to be recognized for the hard work that I have put into the classroom. I am beyond grateful to be a part of the highest honor as a student-athlete among other prestigious individuals nationwide."
A junior from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Landon Sather secured the honor with a 4.00 grade point average in business management. He finished the season with a 20-6 record in singles play. In doubles action, he went 16-5.
Last month, he earned All-Conference honors for singles and doubles play.
Sather is the first Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis player to be named a CSC Academic All-American.
He is the 10th Falcon to claim Academic All-America honors from CSC joining Ricki Budewitz (women's tennis), Jordan Johnson (men's basketball), Emily Hafemann (women's basketball), Evan Lischka (football) Justin Totsky (men's soccer), Andy Ellingham (men's volleyball), Kelsey Bollon (softball), Isabel Downs (women's soccer) and Jordan Lafferty (women's soccer).
The 2023-24 Academic All-American® Men's Tennis Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
