Calvin Clips Men's Tennis

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team continued its spring break festivities in Florida on Thursday. The Falcons faced Calvin and fought hard, but fell 6-3 to move to 3-5 on the year.

The Maroon and Gold grabbed an early 2-0 lead on Thursday with victories on courts two and three.

The team of junior Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and senior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) picked up a thrilling 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Landon Sather secured a quick 6-2, 6-2 victory over Maurquis Willingham at No. 1 singles.

The elder statesman of Joshua Klement also finished the day unblemished against the Knights with a 7-5, 7-5 victory at No. 4 singles against Ryan Broek.

Calvin remains unbeaten on the season at 7-0 with the victory.

The Falcons close spring break play on Friday against St. Scholastica.
