Scarlet Hawks Sting Falcons in Singles Play

GLENDALE, Wis. – The Falcons and Scarlet Hawks were sent inside due to the rain on Sunday for the showdown between the last two undefeated Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference teams. Illinois Tech took the match, 7-2, to improve to 7-9 and 4-0 in the NACC. The Falcons are now 6-6 and 2-1 in NACC Play.

The Falcons earned their first point of the match at No. 3 doubles. The team of senior Isaac Bruins (Oak Creek, Wis.) and sophomore Dylan Nadolski (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) knocked down Nabil Fawaz and Pol Dueso Guell, 8-4.

Senior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and junior Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) then secured an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles over Alann Torres and Davis Housman to give the Falcons the lead.

The Scarlet Hawks took all six singles matches.

Landon Sather won the first set at No. 1 singles but fell in a third-set tiebreaker, 10-6.

The Falcons look to bounce back on Monday night at MSOE.
