Falcons Fly Past the Eagles

MEQUON, Wis. – It was a beautiful day to defeat Edgewood on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons defeated Edgewood, 8-1 on Sunday to improve to 8-7 on the year and 4-2 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

The Falcons claimed the first point of the afternoon with freshman Shaun Del Vecchio (Alpharetta, Ga.) and freshman Renan Revite (São Bernardo do campo, Brazil) claiming an 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Junior Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and freshman Ben Hilpert (Pasadena, Md.) picked up an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles to close the doubles action.

Renan Revite sank Jon Olafsson at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

At No. 4 singles, sophomore Dylan Nadolski (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) toppled Marek Woytasik, 6-1, 6-2.

Shaun Del Vecchio defeated Andrew Hoffman, 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Landon Sather completed a 7-5, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles over Caden Nelson.

Senior Isaac Bruins (Oak Creek, Wis.) was victorious at No. 5 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Alton Robinson.

Freshman Kristopher Greenhaw (Huntington Beach, Calif.) closed the book on Edgewood with a 6-3, 7-6, 8-6 victory over Ethan Towne, at No. 6 singles.  

With the victory, the Falcons clinched a spot in the NACC Tournament. 

The Falcons continue action on Saturday against Stevens Point.
