Devon Savignac Named NCHA Star of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. - The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its Three Stars of the Week, and Concordia Univeristy Wisconsin's Devon Savignac has earned a spot among the top performers.

A freshman from Subdury, Ontario, Devon Savignac claims his first career Three Stars of the Week honor after a stellar weekend performance against Dubuque.

In Friday's 4-3 overtime victory, Savignac made an immediate impact, scoring two powerplay goals and winning a team-high 11 faceoffs. His strong play continued on Saturday in the Falcons' 3-1 win, where he netted the game-winning goal in the second period before adding a primary assist on fellow freshman Levi Carter's third goal of the game.

Savignac becomes the first Falcon to earn Three Stars of the Week honors since Sawyer Wirsing in January 2024.

Also named to this week's Three Stars were Akl Hassan of Aurora and Cristian Wong-Ramos of Trine.

Savignac and the Falcons will return to action this weekend with a pair of non-conference games against the Golden Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus, hailing from Saint Peter, Minnesota.
