ANGOLA, Ind. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's hockey team wrapped up its three-game week on Sunday afternoon at No. 15 Trine. The Falcons move to 1-4-0 on the young season and 0-2-0 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association with the 0-3 loss.
The Thunder scored the lone goal of the first period at the 15:01 mark of the first period.
The Blue and Gold struck again at the 8:16 mark of the second period.
The final goal of the game came on the power play for the Thunder in the final minute of play in the second period.
Despite getting outshot in the third period, 18-9, the Falcons did not allow a goal in the third period.
Junior Gabe Rosek (East Lansing, Mich.) finished the afternoon with 41 saves at Trine.
The Thunder held a 44-16 advantage in shots on Sunday.
Freshman Levi Carter (Keremeos, British Columbia) won 12 of his 15 faceoffs on the day.
The Falcons look to return back to the win column on Friday when they look to take back the Lake Michigan Cup from MSOE.
