Kittel makes history with triple-double, Falcons extend winning streak

ROCKFORD, Ill. – Eric Kittel had himself a game that will be remembered in the record books forever; scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists. Meanwhile, Concordia Wisconsin pushed its winning streak to five games behind a notable 13 3-pointers during a 100-83 victory at Rockford in NACC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- History was made with 46 seconds left in Saturday's game, as Eric Kittel's pass to Jake Jurss for a layup secured a rarely touched, but remarkable triple-double for the senior guard. He holds several program records, so it was only a matter of time before he reached the elusive feat. To make things that much sweeter Kittel also stole five passes. His 11 rebounds and 10 assists were both career highs.
- On the court, half of the shots (13-of-26) from 20-feet-9-inches and beyond ripped through bottom of the net, as Concordia Wisconsin's starting five did damage from deep. All five starters reached double-figures, with Josh Erickson leading the barrage of deep balls by making all five of his attempts.
- The Falcons were never threatened in the second half, after putting together a 13-2 scoring run to begin the second half and extend their lead to 19 points. The advantage topped out at 22 points midway through the final half.
- Concordia Wisconsin hauled in a season-high 18 offensive rebounds, including six by Andrew Fratzke, and turned those opportunities into 26 second-chance points. As well, they also forced 18 turnovers and scored 28 points off those Rockford errors.
- Erickson (junior, Manitowoc, Wis.) finished with 19 points, while sophomore Jake Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) had 17 points (four 3-pointers). Sophomore Josh Hau (Slinger, Wis.) continued his outstanding five-game scoring run with 17 points, to go along with four assists and career-highs in rebounds (four) and steals (three).
- Fratzke (sophomore, Winona, Minn.) recorded his sixth career double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds (career best), to go along with three assists and a career-high three steals. Sophomore Noah Gosse (Green Bay, Wis.) hauled in a career-high six rebounds in 15 minutes of action.
- The Falcons held a commanding 52-35 advantage in rebounding, 12-6 difference in steals and won the turnover battle (13-18).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- It was the second time this season the Falcons reached the century mark on the scoreboard.
- Concordia Wisconsin's 26 second-chance points are the most the season.
- The Falcons shot at least 50 percent from downtown for the third time this season. It was also the seventh time they drained double-digit 3-point attempts.
- Concordia Wisconsin's 52 rebounds was a season high and are tied for the 10th most in a game in program history.
- Erickson is one of just four players in program history to make all of his 3-point field goals (minimum five made).
- Kittel's 10 assists are tied for the seventh most in a game in program history. His triple-double is the first known recorded in a game since game-by-game box scores were first archived starting with the 2001-02.season.

THE OPPOSITION
- Tony Diemer led all players with 21 points, to go along with 10 rebounds and three assists. Zach Wallace also had a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists, while also rejecting five shots.
- Ben Weber added 19 points (five 3-pointers). Trae Blumhorst had an impressive game with 12 points, four rebounds, six assists, two blocks and three steals.
