Football loses at Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. – Concordia Wisconsin fell to the Red Devils of Eureka on Saturday afternoon by a score of 24-0 in the NACC matchup at McKinzie Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Eureka controlled contest from the start and led 17-0 at halftime before scoring a late touchdown to shutout Concordia Wisconsin. The Red Devils pushed the envelope on offense converting 53 percent (10-of-19) on third-down and 60 percent (3-of-5) on fourth downs.
- Falcons' junior Matt Montgomery (Hillsboro, Texas) led the rush game for the visitors accumulating 72 yards on 15 attempts with a long of 32.
- Concordia Wisconsin struggled on the passing side of the ball with 28 total passing yards on five completions. On the defensive side of the ball, four players finished with double-digit tackles led by junior Connor Stoming's (Germantown, Wis.) and sophomore Devin Shibilski (Union Grove, Wis.) who each had 13 tackles.
- Eureka quarterback Drew Barth had 137 yards and one touchdown on 12-of-20 throwing. The Red Devils packed the rushing column with 219 rushing yards, led by Joe Hughes who had 148 and two scores on 29 attempts.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons will travel to Wisconsin on November 16 for a 1 pm kickoff in a NACC contest to end the season.
