Stewart named NACC Defensive Player of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Troy Stewart was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced.

Stewart, a junior linebacker from Trevor, Wisconsin, helped the Falcons defense limit the high-powered Concordia Chicago rushing attack, while shutting down the Cougars' passing game en route to a 34-15 victory. He returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter and finished the game with six solo tackles, including a pair of sacks.

The conference weekly honor is the first of the season and second of his career.
