Women’s Cross Country Ran Well in 2021

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's cross country team took part in seven competitions in the 2021 season. The Blue and White posted three top-five performances on the season.

CUW started the year out with a second-place performance at Elmhurst, the highest of the season.

The Falcons then hosted the first of their two home competitions of the year with the Ken Weidt Classic, where CUW finished fourth.

The Blue and White also had the privilege to host the NACC Cross Country Championships where they finished fourth. The trio of senior LaNea Bartel (Kewaunee, Wis.), senior Tegan Monfils (Green Bay, Wis.) and sophomore Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) all earned All-NACC honors.

LaNea Bartel not only shined on the course, she also did so in the classroom, where she was named an All-Academic Athlete by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). She was also named the NACC Runner of the Week on Oct. 13 for her performance at the Wisconsin Private College Championships.

The Falcons are primed for a strong 2022 season.
