Women’s Cross Country Finishes Sixth in a Loaded Field
WHITEWATER, Wis. – The CUW women's cross country team competed in the Wisconsin – Whitewater Tom Hoffman Invitational. The Falcons finished in sixth place with 168 points. The second-ranked Bears of Washington University (Mo.) won the competition that featured NCAA Division I runners with 15 points.
Senior LaNea Bartel (Kewaunee, Wis.) led all NACC runners with a career-best time of 23:51.9 in 16th place.
Senior Teagan Monfils (Green Bay, Wis.) finished in 30th place at 24:40.3.
Sophomore Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) recorded a 50th-place finish at 25:46.3.
In 68th place was freshman Ella Stader (Oostburg, Wis.) at 26:39.3.
Junior Micah Hill (Camdenton, Mo.) crossed the finish line at 26:46.8 in 71st place.
In 81st place was sophomore Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) at 27:12.0.
Sophomore Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) clocked in at 30:46.8.
Freshman Lauren Pichler (Waukesha, Wis.) picked up a 147th-place finish at 32:28.4.
The Falcons will run again on Oct. 1 at Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
