Women’s Cross Country Runs Well at CUW

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's cross country team ran on its home course on a steamy Saturday afternoon on the shores of Lake Michigan. The Falcons finished in fourth place as a team with 88 points. The Vikings of Lawrence took the team title with 31 points.

Senior LaNea Bartel (Kewaunee, Wis.) led the flock in fourth place at 23:59.6.

Senior Teagan Monfils (Green Bay, Wis.) fought hard for a 12th-place finish at 25:01.3.

Sophomore Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) ran a time of 27:11.7 in 23rd place.

Junior Micah Hill (Camdenton, Mo.) crossed the finish line at 27:21.0 in 32nd place.

Freshman Ella Stader (Oostburg, Wis.) secured a 33rd-place finish at 27:21.5, just edged out by Hill.

In 36th place was sophomore Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) at 27:40.0.

Sophomore Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) was clocked in at 30:47.8 in 50th place.

Freshman Lauren Pichler (Waukesha, Wis.) finished in 54th place with a time of 31:12.5.

The Falcons will travel to Wisconsin – Whitewater on Saturday for the Tom Hoffman Invitational.
