Women’s Tennis Stay Undefeated with Pair of NAC Wins

MEQUON, Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin's women's tennis team won their seventh and eighth matches of the season to remain unbeaten. The Falcons downed Aurora University, 9-0, before defeating Benedictine University, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon at North Shore Country Club.

The Falcons (8-0, 8-0 NAC) victories, both Northern Athletics Conference contests, continued an unblemished league record. Their 9-0 win over AU was the third shutout of the season.

Junior Julie Spransy (Brown Deer, Wis.) and junior Jaclyn Ward (Franklin, Wis.) remained undefeated in singles play with two wins each. The doubles combination of sophomore Meagan Harrington (Kingsford, Mich.) and Spransy also stayed perfect this season with two wins.

CUW (8-0) returns to action on Wednesday for a NAC match against MSOE at 3 p.m. CUW's nearest standings rivals are WLC (8-1) and Edgewood (7-1). The Falcons have beaten Edgewood head-head and compete against WLC on the 27th.
