Women’s Tennis Wins Third Straight
FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin's women's tennis team won their third-straight match Wednesday afternoon over Marian University, 7-2, in Northern Athletics Conference competition at Buttermilk Creek Park.
Sophomore Meagan Harrington (Kingsford, Mich.) showed why she is the reigning NAC Player of the Week, downing Ann Goyke, 6-0, 6-0, to stay undefeated on the year.
Also winning to stay unblemished this season were junior Julie Spransy (Brown Deer, Wis.) and junior Jaclyn Ward (Franklin, Wis.) at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Junior Callie Reinke (West Allis, Wis.) and Catherine Schotte also won their singles matches.
The Falcons captured a pair of doubles points after Harrington and Spransy won 8-4 and Reinke and McCormick won 8-1.
CUW returns to the court Saturday when it travels to Edgewood College for a dual match at 10 a.m.
