JACKSON, Wis. – The Falcons fell in the opener to the Eagles, but bounced back in the second match against the Green Knights on Saturday night as Concordia Wisconsin fell 9-0 to UW-La Crosse before defeating St. Norbert 8-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-CUW struggled in the opening match against UW-La Crosse and were swept 9-0.
-At No. 3 doubles, Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) and Cole Werning (Watertown, Wis.) rallied to even the match at 7-7, but eventually fell 7-4 in the tiebreaker.
-The Falcons fared far better in the second match against St. Norbert, opening the contest with a pair of doubles victories at No. 3 and No. 2 spots.
-The Green Knights got their lone point at No. 1 doubles.
-CUW swept the singles matches, which were highlighted by a pair of comebacks in the No. 1 and No. 6 matches.
-Christian Docter (Madison, Wis.) dropped his first set to Johnny Zanotti before countering with a 6-4 second set and 10-4 third to win No. 1 singles.
-At No. 6 singles, Nathan Raskin (Shorewood, Wis.) fell in the opening set to Porter Beilfuss. The junior rebounded by sweeping the second set 6-0 and finished the job with a 10-8 victory in the third.
-Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) earned the pivotal fifth point for the Falcons with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.
UP NEXT
-The Falcons travel to Orlando, Florida to begin a five-match road trip down south. The first match takes place on March 18 against Springfield.
