Men’s Tennis opens Florida trip with win over Springfield

LAKE NOVA, Fla. – The Falcons swept doubles while taking four singles matches as Concordia Wisconsin defeated Springfield 7-2 to open their week of competition in Florida.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Falcons opened the match by sweeping doubles.
-In singles, the Falcons took four of six, starting with Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5.
-Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) got the match-winning fifth point with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.
-CUW earned a sixth consecutive point with Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
-The Pride earned their first point of the match with a win at No. 1 singles, though the Falcons followed with their seventh point courtesy of Nathan Raskin's (Shorewood, Wis.) 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
-Springfield got the final point of the match at No. 3 singles.
