#CUWStatsInfo: Men's Tennis ready for 2019 season

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Tennis team has their home opener this Sunday, February 3rd at 11am.

CUWFalcons.com prepares you for the season ahead with things you need to know.

Stability at No. 1: The Falcons enter the season with Nolan Rademacher expected to resume his role at No. 1 singles and doubles. In his first season with the program last year, Rademacher went 5-1 in singles and 8-0 in doubles against NACC opponents, and also became the first player ever to get a singles point at Nationals for Concordia Wisconsin in program history.

Strength in Depth: One of the primary strengths of the team is the depth of their roster. "Right now I'd say there are eight to nine guys that are all about the same level," said Head Coach Steve Anschutz. With such a deep roster of talent, Coach Anschutz has the challenge of deciding at which number to play each member.

Doubles Ready to Roll: Due to their deep roster, the Falcons expect to perform very well in doubles competition. "We're so deep that we should generally win most of our doubles points," said Anschutz. "That should be a strength because of our experience."

Looking to Threepeat: The Falcons are no stranger to success. Since the start of the program in 1998, the team has won the conference championship 16 times. Concordia Wisconsin is the reigning conference champion, having won the championship in back-to-back years. Watch as the Falcons battle to stay atop the conference.

Off-Campus Home: With the winter and early spring weather the way it is, the Falcons won't be playing their home matches at the tennis courts across from campus for a while. Until the weather conditions change, the Falcons will be hosting their home matches at the Pleasant Valley Tennis Center in Jackson, Wis.
