Adrian defeats Men’s Lacrosse

ADRIAN, Mich. --
Adrian College broke the game wide open in the second quarter with eight goals en route to a 13-3 men's lacrosse victory over Concordia University Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon during Midwest Lacrosse Conference play at Performance Stadium.

The Bulldogs led 2-1 after one quarter of play before scoring eight goals in the second period, six of which were consecutive, to take control of the game. David Monroe tallied three of AC's scores in the overwhelming quarter for CUW.

AC (4-1, 2-0 MLC) finished with a decisive 44-21 shot advantage in the win and held a 43-22 advantage in ground balls. The Bulldogs won 13 of the games 18 faceoffs.

Sophomore Justin Krause (Hartland, Wis.) led CUW with two goals, to go along with a team-best five ground balls. Sophomore Danny Dahms (Calgary, Alberta) added the Falcons (0-4, 0-1 MLC) other goal in the conference matchup.

Coady Adamson paced all scorers with four goals on seven shots. David Monroe scored three goals and assisted on three more, while Cody Kilcoyne assisted on three scores of his own for AC.

Sophomore Zack Davis (La Porte, Ind.) and freshman Emmet O'Malley (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) combined to save 17 shots on goal, with O'Malley taking the loss.

CUW returns to play on Friday at 3:30 p.m. with a MLC contest against Hanover College at Fitting Field.
