MEQUON, Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin (9-6 overall) was able to "pull the dogs off early" as they dominated undermanned Alma College, 21-3, Saturday in a non-conference matchup and regular season finale.

CUW broke all kinds of school records in the process of racing to an 11-0 lead after the first period. Concordia was up 17-1 by halftime as Falcon reserves dotted the field.

Sophomore Sam Wlaydka (Winnipeg/ Manitoba) led the scoring parade with four goals as ten players scored for Coach Jeff Roberts. Freshman Andy Riveness (Hastings, Minn.) and freshman Matt Ray (Andover, Minn.) added three scores each.

Concordia, a second year program, outshot the visitors who are now 1-14 by a 43-8 margin and won 24 of 28 faceoffs, but the Falcons were content to pass the ball around for most of the second half, especially during a 2-2 final period.

More importantly, it was announced Sunday that the Falcons had earned thier first Final Four MLC Tournament berth by virtue of head-head competition as CUW's 5-4 conference record placed them ahead of Carthage 5-4 and Trine (4-5) - which had defeated CUW- but was an upset loser Sunday.
