Men’s Lacrosse hosts Augustana on Saturday

MEQUON, Wis. - Coming off an impressive victory in not-so-impressive conditions on Thursday, Concordia University Wisconsin's men's lacrosse team hosts Augustana College on Saturday at 1 p.m. The game at Fitting Field will conclude a short two-game home stand for the Falcons.

With the 10-6 victory over Carthage College on Thursday, CUW (7-5) put itself one-step closer to attaining a spot in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament. While Saturday's game is a non-conference matchup, a victory would give them three straight wins and keep the momentum going down the home stretch of the schedule.

Sophomore Danny Dahms (Calgary, Alberta) scored five goals for the second time this season on Thursday. The midfielder now leads the team with 26 goals this season and 37 points. In all, six players have scored in double-figures and sophomore Justin Krause (Hartland, Wis.) leads the team with 14 assists.

AC (8-4) enters with the nation's toughest defense to score on, as it is allowing just 4.42 goals per game as of April 15. The Vikings have held their opponents to four or less goals in seven games this season, including a pair of shutouts.

Jesse Nagelberg leads the Vikings with 37 goals and 42 points. The midfielder has scored at least four goals in five games this season, including a five- and six-goal performance in AC's last two games.
