Baseball launches two homers against Aurora

CAROL STREAM, Ill. – Drew Barth and Jared Chesak each showed off some power with the first two Falcon home runs this season, but Concordia Wisconsin fell to Aurora 10-1 and 10-3 in a doubleheader on Monday. 

THE BASICS
-Final Score: Aurora 10, Concordia Wisconsin 1 | Aurora 10, Concordia Wisconsin 3
-Records: Aurora 15-3 (4-0 NACC), Concordia Wisconsin 6-10 (2-2 NACC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the opener, the Falcons struck in the top half of the first on a Tyler Haffey (Mount Prospect, Ill.) RBI single that drove in Sean Tillmon (Plainfield, Ill.)
-Unfortunately, the Spartans bats scored 10 runs on 13 hits, while the Falcons managed just the one with 10.
-The closing game saw the Falcons rally in the third to even up the game after falling behind 2-0.
-In the top of the third, Barth (Pewaukee, Wis.) hit a solo shot over the left field wall to put the Falcons on the board.
-Later that inning, Charlie Rodriguez (Tinley Park, Ill.) drove in Christian Gerner (Mequon, Wis.) with an RBI single to center.
-Aurora proceeded to score eight more, but Chesak (West Bend, Wis.) sent the Falcons away with a parting shot in the top of the ninth as he homered to left center.

-The Falcons travel to face Marian in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 6, starting at 12pm.
